Koffee with Karan: Hardik Pandya "got carried away", apologises for his comments

Koffee With Karan season 6 witnessed the young cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul along with the show host, Bollywood movie producer Karan Johar. In the series of questions and answers, Pandya got carried away a number of times committing a misconception through his remarks.

The sixth season of the television show hosted by the famous producer and filmmaker Karan Johar welcomed two cricketers on his couch for the first time. On Sunday’s episode, young and fierce cricket stars, Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul were invited on the show as Karan’s way of accepting more cricket in his life and paying homage to the sport.

Indian team all-rounder made “misogyny,” “racism” and “obnoxious comments”, on which he encountered a lot of criticism on social media.

Pandya spoke about meeting his female friends at nightclubs and having “conversations”, though what he seemed to focus more on was how he concentrated more on “observing there moves” rather than talking.
He also passed some remarks about his family being cool with his sexual activities, which even triggered the Twitterverse.

Later on Wednesday, after realising his misogynistic and obnoxious comments which might have hurt the sentiments of some people, he expressed regret through an apology tweeted on his Twitter handle.
In his tweet, Pandya mentioned that he got carried away with the nature of the show and did not want to hurt anybody’s sentiments.

All-rounder Pandya who had been out of action since September due to a back injury sustained at the Asia Cup, returned to the Indian squad for the three-match ODI series starting 12 January.
