Rakesh Roshan, the director, voiced reservations about working on Krrish 4. In a recent interview with India Today, he stated that he was delaying the start of the filming because of the audience’s hesitation to visit theatres again. The director also disclosed when he intends to shoot Krrish 4, which stars Hrithik Roshan.
Regarding Krrish 4
The fourth installment of Hrithik Roshan’s popular superhero series, Krrish 4, has been anticipated by fans for about ten years. The first movie in the series, Koi Mil Gaya, came out in 2003. Krrish (2006) and Krrish 3 (2013) came after it. Hrithik earlier this year stated that Krrish 4 is unquestionably in the works and will “happen real soon.” Rakesh Roshan, a father-director, preferred to postpone the start of production for another calendar year.
Rakesh Roshan’s statement
“The crowd is still not returning to the theatre, so it raises a lot of questions in my mind. Krrish will be a successful movie. Kids today are accustomed to watching Hollywood superhero pictures with budgets of about $500 million to $600 million due to the shrinking size of the earth. In contrast, we have a modest budget of $200–$300 million,” Rakesh told India Today.
On postponing the Krrish 4 film
The director continued, “How can I give the picture that look? Of course, I can choose to have four action sequences rather than ten, but the action and quality must match. The VFX must be of high quality. We can maintain the production costs and the budget as a whole. Large-scale films of days aren’t doing all that well… We are more than prepared to move forward. We don’t instantly consider that, though, when we consider how poorly films are now performing and how collections don’t cover their expenditures. It will occur, but not for another 12 months. most likely afterwards.
Hrithik’s comments regarding Krrish 4
In a January 2023 interview with Pinkvilla, Hrithik Roshan said, “I think, we should all come together and send out a little prayer. Regarding Krrish 4, everything is ready, but we are having a small technical difficulty. Hopefully, we’ll get through that before the year is out. Krrish 4 will undoubtedly come soon and is absolutely in the works.
The first mention of Krrish 4 was made in 2018 when Rakesh Roshan stated that the movie would be released around Christmas 2020. The movie has now been postponed, though. Krrish follows Krishna’s adventures as he defends the world from evildoers as Rohit, the main character in Koi Mil Gaya, and his father both possess superhuman skills.
