Logitech MX Anywhere 3S Mouse: Logitech has just announced the release of a new, productivity-oriented mouse. The Anywhere 3S model is part of the company’s popular MX series and is distinguished by its capacity to function on any surface.

Logitech MX Anywhere 3S Mouse: is capable of working everywhere.

The design of the popular PC peripheral manufacturer’s MX Anywhere 3S was recently disclosed prior to its launch, revealing its appearance at the beginning of last month. Now, the official announcement introduces the Anywhere 3 mouse’s successor, which debuted in 2020. It contains an optical sensor with a resolution of up to 8,000 DPI and claims to operate on “virtually any surface.” This includes the notorious glass surface, which makes it difficult for optical mice to trace user inputs.

This is because the optical sensor’s laser typically travels through glass without reflecting sufficiently to be detected. Thus, surfaces with greater opacity tend to perform better. However, the latest Anywhere 3S is superior to its predecessor in that it can operate on even glass. In addition, this productivity mouse features the company’s patented Quiet Click technology, which muffles the noises of button clicks. It helps keep the volume modest so as not to distract your coworkers.

Aside from this, the mouse has a similar design and battery life of 70 days to the Anywhere 3. The model also has built-in Bluetooth support without a dongle, which is a fantastic feature because dongles are tiny and simple to misplace. Currently, you can pre-order the Logitech MX Anywhere 3S for $79,99 USD. It will be available for purchase on June 6 in four colour options, namely Graphite, Pale Grey, Rose, and Black.

In addition to its new mouse, Logitech now offers several other updated devices. On the $110 MX Keys S, new features include more control over illumination brightness and automatic activation settings, an updated function row with additional videoconferencing controls (and that always-useful emoji key), and a new model in a light grey hue that matches the rest of the MX family.

Logitech has also created a productivity bundle, the MX Keys S Combo, which includes the MX Keys S, an MX Master 3S mouse, and the MX Palm Rest – all in one package for $200. And despite the fact that the MX Master 3S and wrist wrest aren’t new, this bundle is a great way to save money because these three devices would normally cost $230 if purchased separately.

Even though it has been in beta for some time, Logitech’s Smart Actions feature is eventually being released alongside the MX Keys S today. Available within the Logi Options+ application, Smart Actions is a handy utility for automating multiple repetitive duties across multiple applications with a single key press. That means you can construct a silence command that will, with a single stroke, mute zoom, disable your microphone, and pause your preferred music app.

There are a number of fundamental templates available by default, which can be modified as necessary. And while I’m still exploring the limits of Smart Actions, my favourite method to use it thus far has been to create what I call my “game time” command, which enables Steam, Discord, Battle.net, and more with a single keyboard shortcut.
