Lok Sabha Elections 2019: Complete schedule for all 7 phases

Election Commission of India (ECI) on Sunday announced the dates for the 17th Lok Sabha elections, which will be held in 7 phases.

Announcing the election schedule and related measures, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sunil Arora said, “The Election Commission of India has attempted every comprehensive preparation for the conduct of election for the 17th Lok Sabha, which is free, fair, inclusive, ethical, participatory and also festive.”

With the announcement, the Model Code of Conduct has come into force.

Elections to be held in 7 Phases: See the complete schedule

Phase 1:

* Phase 1 in 91 constituencies in 20 states
* Date of issue of gazette notification: March 18
* Last date of filing of nomination: March 25
* Date of polls: April 11
* Date of counting: May 23

Phase 2: 

* Phase 2 in 97 constituencies in 13 states
* Date of issue of gazette notification: March 19
* Last date of filing of nomination: March 26
* Date for scrutiny of nomination: March 27
* Last date for withdrawal of candidature: March 29
* Date of polls: April 18
* Date of counting: May 23

Phase 3:

* Phase 3 in 115 constituencies in 14 states
* Date of issue of gazette notification: March 28
* Last date of filing of nomination: April 4
* Date for scrutiny of nomination: April 5
* Last date for withdrawal of candidature: April 8
* Date of polls: April 23
* Date of counting: May 23

Phase 4: 

* Phase 4 in 71 constituencies in 9 states
* Date of issue of gazette notification: April 2
* Date of polls: April 29
* Date of counting: May 23

Phase 5: 

* Phase 5 in 51 constituencies in 7 states
* Date of issue of gazette notification: April 10
* Date of polls: May 6
* Date of counting: May 23

Phase 6: 

* Phase 6 in 59 constituencies in 7 states
* Date of polls: May 12
* Date of counting: May 23

Phase 7:

* Phase 7 in 59 constituencies in 8 states
* Date of polls: May 19
* Date of counting: May 23
