While, the exit polls predict a comfortable victory for the BJP-led NDA alliance, the saffron party might find it impossible to repeat their 2014 success in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Here, according to the pollsters, the NDA is expected win around 50 seats; the Mahagathbandhan is likely to win on nearly 28 seats.
According to the Times Now-VMR the NDA is winning 58 seats. Republic-Jan Ki Baat, states that the alliance could win anywhere between 46 to 57 seats. Most polls have given Congress around 2 seats.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party had sealed a remarkable 71 seats out of 80 with then ruling party in the state Samajwadi Party getting just 5 seats. After the coming together of Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party, a tough contest expected in India’s most populous state.
