The family of Gunde Gowdu in Ettipalle near Hosur in Krishnagiri district is the most important family of the village for a reason and that is upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The family has become important not because of the bigger house they live in but because of 60 members that include 40 voters in the family and that is quite a precious deal in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Because of this very reason, all the national and state level political parties candidates are targeting the family from a few weeks but have been sent back politely. The head of the family said that whenever someone comes, they inform them that they will cast votes only for the best candidate.

Gunde, along with his three brothers and two sisters were born in the house and the men used to till the land as part of family tradition, one of the family members told that they own 150 acres of land and have not divided it.

He also said that few members are living in Russia and the US for work and studies and have been informed to come to India to cast their votes for the upcoming elections. They are waiting for the strength to gather.

Head of the family, Gunde said that his late parents requested them to never separate and the six children have fulfilled their wishes also they have told their sons and daughters to continue it this way only.

One of the family members also said that the women in the family have distributed the household duties equally and lives in perfect harmony. He also said that they had not faced any quarrels at any point in time.

At 102, this Himachal voter is all set to vote again!
