LPG cylinder price: The price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) was left unchanged at existing levels on January 1, 2021, but there were two simultaneous hikes of Rs 100 per cylinder in each of the four metro cities of India- Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai. For commercial customers, though, they would have to add Rs 17 per cylinder per annum.
According to the Indian Oil Corporation, the price of non subsidized Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) remained constant at Rs 694 for 14.2 kilograms in Delhi and Mumbai.
But according to the Indian oil corporation out of the four metros, a non subsidized 14.2 Kg Gas cylinder in Delhi and Mumbai is Rs 694, Rs 720 in Kolkata, and Rs 710 in Chennai.
With respect to commercial cylinders, consumers have to pay Rs 1349 in Delhi, Rs 1410 in Mumbai, Rs 1297.50 in Kolkata, and Rs 1463.50 in Chennai.
So the rates for non subsidized LPG cylinders on monthly basis vary in different parts of the country due to the local state taxes being put on cooking gas.

The government of India subsidizes 12 cylinders of 14.2 kilograms each per household every year and if a user has to make an additional purchase of an LPG gas cylinder, it has to be done on market price.
