Lucknow to get better air connectivity from July 5

Lucknow’s air-connectivity will expand to three more cities by July 5th. The state capital will get connected to Jaipur, Bhopal and Dehradun by air.

In a move to tap the air traffic in unexplored sectors, Air India has decided to operate 72-seat small passenger aircraft with moderate fares ranging between Rs 2200 to Rs 2800 between these cities.

According to a source, these flights have got the approval of Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and the Airport Authority of India (AAI).

Shakeel Ahmed, station in charge of Air India, Lucknow, said, “ The flight from Jaipur to Lucknow will arrive at 7.30 am and will depart for Jaipur at 4.25 pm. The fares for Jaipur from Lucknow is between R 2300 to R 2510 while the flight to Lucknow will range between R 2200 to R 2298. The flight will reach Jaipur at 6.10 pm.”

“The flight for Dehradun will leave at 8 am and reach Dehradun at 9.30 am. It will return at 11.25 am. The fares from Lucknow to Dehradun are between R 2500 to 2771. The return fare is cheaper between r2300 to 2372,” he added.

Similarly, the flight to Bhopal from Lucknow will leave at 11.50 am and land at 1.45 pm. It will return from Bhopal at 3.55 pm. Fares from Lucknow to Bhopal will range between Rs 2600 to 2721 while from Bhopal the fares will be between Rs 2372 to Rs 2400.

If the plan is successful, flights for Patna, Bhubaneshwar, Panaji, Cochi, Vizag, Chennai, Chandigarh also will be launched.
