As the Opposition has refused to attend the GST roll-out on Friday midnight, the Congress party has slammed the NDA government by stating that ‘implementing GST and launching GST’ are two very different things.
#GSTTamasha has been trending on Twitter, where tweets are pouring in about the uncertainties in the smooth implementation of the new tax regime.

The Congress party, Rashtriya Janata Dal( RJD) and the Trinamool Congress(TMC) have decided to boycott a joint special session of the parliament to mark the GST rollout at midnight today. However, Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley, on Thursday, had asked the Opposition parties to reconsider their decision to skip the midnight GST launch, saying that they were all consulted on the new tax system.
Eminent personalities besides parliamentarians are expected to grace the event. The guest list includes actor Amitabh Bachchan, singer Lata Mangeshkar and industrialist Ratan Tata.
