In a highly shocking incident, a mother of an ailing 3-year-old infant threw her son out of the hospital window after being upset over her child’s prolonged illness.
Going by the reports, husband of the accused woman filled a complaint against his wife claiming that the woman threw their son from the fourth floor of King George Medical University (KGMU) Trauma Centre in Lucknow. He said that his wife was allegedly distressed due to continuous medical treatment of her son for liver ailment and jaundice. The baby died on the spot.
Police arrested the mother after scanning the CCTV footage where she was seen throwing the infant from the balcony.
According to the police, the infant was born in BRD Medical College in Gorakhpur on April 23 and had developed jaundice. The child had been admitted to the KGMU on May 26 and was under treatment.
The police have registered an FIR and further investigation is underway.
