Lucy Bella Earl, now Simkins, is a British English instructor who was born in Milton Keynes, England, on June 10, 1994. She is most well-known for her YouTube English lessons. Little is known about her childhood and familial life. However, we do know that after completing secondary school at her local high school, she attended the University of Westminster and graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing Communications. She studied in Madrid, Spain as part of the Erasmus programme, where she was able to practise her Spanish. Simkins then started working in Seville, where she received certification to teach English as a foreign language and began pursuing her new career.
Career
In 2016, during her senior year of college, she established the YouTube channel English with Lucy, which provides entertaining and informative videos on the English language. Within the first year, 100,000 viewers subscribed to the channel. This is when Lucy decided to transform her YouTube pastime into a full-time profession. In 2018, she gained more than one million followers, and the University of Westminster awarded her an Entrepreneurial Award for her instructional videos.
