Lunar Eclipse 2020 On January 10: Timings, Duration, where to watch Chandra Grahan tomorrow

On November 8, skygazers in India will witness a rare celestial event, full Chandra Grahan. This will be the country’s last Total Lunar Eclipse until 2025, though Indians will be able to see partial and penumbral lunar eclipses during that time.

This event is unique in that it will be a Blood Moon Eclipse, beginning at 2.39 pm and ending at 6.19 pm. Only the total and partial phases of the lunar eclipse will be visible in India, particularly in the eastern regions. However, in other parts of the country, only a partial phase of the blood moon can be seen.

Lunar Eclipse and Hindu Traditions

This year, because the Lunar Eclipse coincides with Kartik Purnima, there have been many changes in the schedule of rituals that are usually celebrated with great pomp and gaiety.

Despite being an astronomical event, an eclipse has significant mythological and astrological significance in Indian culture. Even though the scientific community does not support such ideas, the Hindu almanack suggests observing several restrictions during such an event in order to avoid any negative effects on life.

Nonetheless, we have highlighted some long-followed traditional tips that culture experts recommend for people observance. Here are some guidelines:
