Ujjain: A Surgeon in the district’s hospital who was caught kissing fellow nurse in operation theater was suspended on Sunday. After the video of the incident got viral, a demand for their removal saw momentum. Soon, the district collector fired the surgeon from his post.
The city district collector, Shashank Mishra said, “Kissing in an operation theater is not appropriate for any official. After the video surfaced, considering the gravity of the incident, I have fired Civil Surgeon Dr. Raju Nidariya from the post at District Hospital.”
Mishra informed that the post has been issued to Dr PN Verma. Nidariya is on a two-day leave, further action would be taken after receiving his response.
Meanwhile, Dr. Mohan Malviya, District’ Chief Medical and Health Officer, has said, “We have ordered in investigation in the matter.” He added, “The woman in the video is a nurse of the hospital. She has also being questioned.”
