Bhopal: In a shocking incident, a 28-year-old man allegedly committed suicide on Wednesday night after his father refused to give him car keys. The man allegedly shot himself and was reportedly drunk. He shot himself with a country-made revolver at his home.
A police official said that the Shailendra Singh (28) wanted the family’s car to go out but his father has refused to give him the car keys as he was aware of his drinking habit.
Shailendra was married and lived with his father and other family members, the official added. Shailendra took Rs 4,000 from his wife and wanted to go out for booze with his friends.
On the fateful night, when Shailendra asked for the car keys his father refused because he was scared that he might meet with an accident after getting drunk. This led to an argument and he broke LED TV and sofa set in a rage. Following which he asked for a glass of water and went to his room. The family members thought he has become normal now but after some time, they heard a gunshot and his room was also locked. Upon opening the door they rushed him to the hospital where he was declared dead.
However, his family didn’t know he had a pistol with him. The Police are probing how Shailendra got hold of a country-made revolver.
