Jai Adivasi Yuva Sangathan (JAYS) has declared Dr Anand Rai, former RSS member and Ashish Chaturvedi, a social activist as JAYS candidates from Indore and Gwalior respectively. Both the candidates played a vital role in Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board or Vyapam scam and exposed several irregularities in the issue. Dr Ananad Rai is also a close aide of state Congress leaders like Vivek Tankha and Digvijaya Singh.
“Yes, I am close to several Congress leaders, but I am upset as many Congress leaders are still in touch with the Vyapam accused. If they are really concerned about the scam, they should have no association with such tainted persons,” Rai said.
As per the sources, Chaturvedi will contest from Gwalior East seat and Dr Rai from Indore (V) constituency. JAYS is planning to announce its list of 80-candidates during a mega rally at Manawar on October 21. “Our Malwa-Nimar list of candidates is ready but we would announce the list once both BJP and Congress come up with their names, Dr Alawa, convener of JAYS told media.
JAYS is also speaking to other eminent personalities of Madhya Pradesh and the political outfit is yet to be registered as a political party.
