In a startling case, it was reported that a Los Angeles truck driver was born with two penises, both of which he could use for sexual activity. Tank was suffering from an uncommon condition known as diphalia, which occurs when an individual is born with two appendages. Apparently, the disease also runs in his family.
Tank has reportedly been in a juvenile detention facility since the age of 12. At age 24, he had his first sexual encounter, and his partner was astonished to see a second penis.
What exactly is diphalia?
Diphalia is an uncommon condition that affects one infant in every six million. Since 1609, when the condition was first identified, only 100 cases have been reported worldwide. In most cases, the additional penis is removed shortly after birth. However, they do so in a few instances. It is a developmental disorder characterised by difficulties with the hindgut, vertebrae, kidneys, and genitourinary system.
Infants born with it have an increased risk of infection and other renal and colorectal complications.
