Though went through a morning hiccup, Kangana Ranaut starrer made it up with a great collection at the end of the day. Bollywood trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted that on Saturday, Republic Day the movie should witness a “big turnaround”.

The movie made a great Rs 8.75 crore on the release day.
Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is the biographical tale of the Rani Lakshmibai. The movie is directed by Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi(Krish) under the Zee Studios banner.
Famous movie critic Anupama Chopra had given the movie 3 stars out of 5. She said, “Kangana Ranaut is an effective storyteller but the actor in her undermines the director. Because the actor becomes larger than the narrative.”
On FilmCompanion she added, “The film can’t match the epic scale of Baahubali or the aesthetics of Padmaavat but there is enough grandeur on display. Even the men are ferociously bejewelled and the fortresses are impressive. But you will have to ignore the inept CGI work, especially in the battle scenes.”
‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ directed by Aditya Dhar, had made around Rs 8 cr on its opener day. Uri was based on the surgical attacks of 2016, The movie observed a successful growth of 51.59% on its day 2 collection as it made Rs 12.43 crore.
