For those scoring 91 to 100, they will be graded A1, and for those scoring 81 to 90, they will be graded A2. If the student scores 21 to 30, they will be graded E1 along with E2.

Manipur to introduce grading system in Class 10 board exam: According to an official statement, Manipur will introduce grading systems for the Class 10 board examination this year.

In the high school leaving certificate examination (class 10), there will be no division or rank awarded, according to a statement released by Joint Secretary, Education Department, Elangbam Sonia.

In the grading system being introduced, no total marks/aggregate will be displayed in the document, no division/rank will be awarded, and only pass/fail will be printed”, the statement said.

For those scoring 91 to 100, they will be graded A1, and for those scoring 81 to 90, they will be graded A2. If the student scores 21 to 30, they will be graded E1 along with E2.

“The government felt that though competition amongst the students is good to improve one’s performance, there is a need to see that it does not lead to stress or completely dishearten a minor”, it said, adding that “grading system reduces stress and burden on the students helping them to learn with less stress without being over competitive at their age”.

According to an official, 37,715 students, including 18,628 females, are preparing for the matriculation examination, which will take place in 154 examination centers between March 15 and April 8.
