April 2 is a nostalgic day for both Indian cricket fraternity and the crazy Indian cricket fans as it marks India’s victory in the ICC World Cup in 2011. As the nation remembers the second giant World Cup trophy lifted by India after a break 28 years of the 1983 win on this day 6 years back, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar shared an inspiring message for everyone.

On April 2, 2011, India defeated Sri Lanka by six wickets with 10 balls, witnessed by a crowd who held their nerves at the Wankhede Stadium Mumbai. India was chasing a target of 274 runs where Mahendra Singh Dhoni scored 91 along with Gautam Gambhir who advanced India towards the iconic win.

Hearts started to beat faster as India was still in need of 52 runs from 52 balls. While there was a fair chance of loss and victory after Gambhir was bowled out, Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh batted with absolute finesse. Mahendra Singh Dhoni closed the match hitting a big six leaving a smile on every Indian cricket fan’s face.
