MCA, BCA question paper leak update: Five people, including an employee of the university, have been arrested for allegedly leaking question papers of MCA and BCA examinations.
According to police, the accused have been identified as Dev Shankar (31), Vivek Kumar Sharma (27), Johanson Hans (30), residents of Jharkhand, Ankit Saxena (23), a resident of Uttar Pradesh and Mohammad Iqbal (24), a resident of Delhi.
The MCA and BCA third semester papers were allegedly leaked from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) study center in Bokaro.
The examination of MCA third semester was to be held on December 8, 2018. MCA and BCA third semester papers were allegedly leaked through WhatsApp.
According to reports, around 500 suspects were interrogated. Dev Shankar, who worked as a peon in the IGNOU study centre – Bokaro Steel City in Jharkhand, was the mastermind behind this racket.
On December 8, 2018, the registrar of the IGNOU in Ground Garhi, New Delhi filed a complaint regarding the question paper leak.
“Based on technical analysis, the mastermind of this racket Dev Shankar was arrested on Wednesday,” said Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) AK Singla.
