Police arrest a Delhi school teacher for sexually assaulting a minor boy. The victim was a student of the school in North Delhi. The incident came to light after police noticed a video published by an NGO. The assault was captured by another student of the school and later the video was passed on to the NGO which posted it online.
“He has been arrested under sections of the POSCO Act. The teacher has accused the NGO of blackmailing him for money. We will enquire into these claims and take action accordingly,” said Aslam Khan, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North West).
The North district police officer is also thinking of filing an FIR against the NGO for uploading the video online. This had instigated the locals as the video revealed the identity of the boy. The local residents also protested and demanded strict punishment against the NGO.
The boy was performing poorly in the subject taught by the accused teacher. He had gone to the teacher’s house to ask for additional classes. There he was sexually assaulted and the other student who reached later filmed the act, said the police officer. The victim had not informed his parents about the incident. However, the police is investigating into the matter.
