Mob Lynching: Man beaten to death for protesting against sister’s molesters in Jharkhand’s Palamu

Mob lynching in Jharkhand; one killed

Palamu: In a shocking incident, a 22-year-old man was beaten to death by a group of molesters who had passed lewd comments on his sister when she was returning home after coaching class in Kudwa village, Haidernagar police station area, Palamu, Jharkhand.

In the incident, Vakil Khan lost his life, while 20 year-old Danish Khan’s health continuous to be serious. The Haidarnagar Police has arrested one of the accused in the case.

Reportedly, Vakil and Danish had come to the Khardiha village to complaint against youths who were teasing their sister, once the accused came to know about the situation, they, along with other villagers attacked the two.

The police has taken the statement of Danish, while the body of the deceased has been sent for the post-mortem. The angry villagers have kept the body in the hospital.

Earlier in March 2016, in another soul wrenching incident, two man, Imtiyaz Khan and Mazrum Ansari were beaten up and then hanged from a tree by a mob of so-called cow vigilantes in Khaprelwar village of Latehar district.

Eight people were then convicted and awarded life imprisonment for lynching two Muslim cattle traders in Jharkhand’s Latehar district.
