Former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejaswi Yadav on Tuesday attacked RSS and BJP over old man death in Bihar’s Sitamarhi, where a mob killed a senior citizen during a Durga Puja procession.
“The people of RSS & BJP charred a man to death. We have proof that the administration stayed mum while the old man (Zainul Ansari) was being lynched”, he told media in Patna.
“Administration is also accountable for the whole incident”, he added.
In October 2018, a Durga Puja procession was denied entry through a Muslim-dominated area in Bihar’s Sitamarhi. After being denied entry, procession turned violent and further 80-year-old Zainul Ansari, who was returning from his daughter’s house, was beaten and burnt alive.
