Bringing the practice of ‘gurukul’ era, where students lived with family of the teacher and performed their ‘seva’ and ‘gurudakshina’ by doing household chores, this teacher from Chhattisgarh has travelled back in time to revive the dying practice.

The three class 10 students of a government school in the state’s Jashpur district were seen massaging the teacher’s feet and back, while one of his colleagues shot the video.
The 20-day-old video went viral on August 31 and the schoolteacher, identified as Anup Minj, faced the wrath. Minj said he had initially approached one of his colleagues ‘Mathur Sir’ to give him a massage as he was not feeling well that day. However, he clarified that it was Mathur Sir who assigned the task to three students later.
“I was very ill that day. I didn’t call any children. I requested one of our staff Mathur Sir to give me massage. He gave me massage. He called two-three students and asked them to give me massage. They were students of class 10. This took place 20 days ago,” he added. (Video credits- Boom)
