Moradabad Lok Sabha Constituency, Uttar Pradesh: Current MP, Candidates, Polling Date and Election Results

Moradabad is one of the ten constituencies in Uttar Pradesh to go on polls in the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2019 on Tuesday, April 23. Incumbent Member of Parliament is Bharatiya Janata Party’s candidate here, while the Congress has entrusted Imran Pratapgarhiya with the ticket. Samajwadi Party leader ST Hasan is SP-BSP-RLD Mahaghathbandhan’s candidate.

In 2014 Lok Sabha elections, BJP’ Kunwar Sarevesh Kumar Singh had registered a victory by a majority of over 87,000 votes. Congress candidate Begum Noor Bano had finished at the 5th spot.

The voting for Uttar Pradesh’s 80 parliamentary seats will take place across the seven phases of the 2019 General elections beginning April 11. The last phase will be held on May 19.

According to Election Commission of India 2009 data, the Khagaria Lok Sabha seat has a total of 17,72,046 electorates.

Moradabad Lok Sabha constituency comprised the following six Vidhan Sabha (legislative assembly) segments: Thakurdwara, Kanth, Moradabad Rural, Moradabad Nagar, Kundarki, Bilari

In Phase III of the voting for the 17th Lok Sabha, elections will take place in 115 Lok Sabha constituencies across 14 states. Voting for this phase will take place on April 23. While, like all the other phases, counting will take place in May 23.

Along with Lok Sabha Elections, voting will also take place for the third phase of Odisha Assembly Elections 2019. The turnout in the last general election in 2014 was more than 66%, up from 45% in 1951 when the first election was held.
