MP family goes green; replaces traditional wedding cards with 400 plants

In order to create awareness among the people about the environment, a family in Bhopal sent invitations to 400 people by writing the name and venue of the bride and groom on the pots instead of cards at the wedding. Different types of plants were installed in these pots. They were planted eight months ago.

Prayanshu, son of Rajkumar Kanakane, who lives in Tulsi Nagar, Bhopal, was married on 20 November. At first, the family thought that marriage cards should be distributed. In such a situation, elder son Prateek said that we should do something with the wedding invitation so that people are aware of the environment.

The family decided that people would be invited by printing the name of the bride and groom and the venue on the saplings planted 8 months ago.

The idea behind it was also that people forget about the cards, but if these pots remain in their homes, then the family will always be remembered for their initiative.

Prateek said that we did not get the cards printed. Invited acquaintances and relatives in Bhopal by giving 400 pots. At the same time, we requested outside relatives to come to the wedding through WhatsApp. This experiment was very successful and people appreciated it.
