A group of noted tech firms is planning to meet on Tuesday to discuss filing an amicus brief supporting a lawsuit challenging US President Donald Trump’s order banning immigration from seven Muslim-majority nations said a spokesperson for a company organizing the gathering.

The meeting was called together by GitHub, a software development company. Notably, Alphabet Inc’s Google, Airbnb Inc and Netflix Inc are among the corporations invited, said a person familiar with the situation as per a report in India Today.

While representatives for Google and Netflix could not be reached for comment, Airbnb spokesman refused to comment.

Apparently, the tech sector has become a corporate opponent to the ban declared last week. They are constantly considering the ways to condemn the move and giving financial support to the organizations supporting immigrants, like the American Civil Liberties Union.

The tech firms started taking the issue into consideration after Amazon.com Inc and Expedia Inc filed declarations in court on Monday supporting a lawsuit filed by the Washington state attorney general.  As per Amazon and Expedia, Trump’s order unfavorably impacts their business.

Another lawsuit challenging Trump’s order as unconstitutional was also filed on Monday by the Council on American-Islamic Relations.
