This day was created out of a need to raise awareness about choosing the right pet for children. HISTORY OF NATIONAL KIDS AND PETS DAY
Other than infants, animals demonstrate the purest expression of love. National Kids and Pets Day was created to raise awareness about the relationship between children and pets, as well as the significance of choosing the right companion for children at the right age.
Colleen Paige, a former emergency medical technician (EMT), discovered her vocation and passion for animals at a very young age.
