The purpose of the company’s request for this day to be recognised as a national holiday was to aid in the launch of their mission to help people recognise their inner beauty by making them feel attractive. In a variety of forms, it evolved into a celebration of those who make life beautiful for others. It is impossible to overestimate the beauty of making another person feel good about themselves or loving themselves a little bit more, so this day was created in the hopes that this form of beauty would spread. The company’s mission statement consists of three parts: “pure product innovation,” “building relationships,” and “beauty that stems from personal success.” In addition, they partnered with the non-profit Foundation Apriority, which supports charitable initiatives by women.
