New OTT Releases This Week:August’s second week is coming in hot for OTT suckers. Seriously, it’s like the streamers all got together and decided, to drop everything so no one can get sleep. Doesn’t matter if you’re a “just one episode” or a full-on weekend cave-dweller there’s straight-up something for everybody.

New OTT Releases This Week: Netflix

Wednesday S2 Part 1 (Aug 6): The goth queen herself, Wednesday Addams, is back. Jenna Ortega’s still killing it, and Nevermore Academy’s apparently just crawling with more secrets, sarcasm, and probably at least three new TikTok trends. It’s darker, funnier, and you’ll probably wish your high school was this weird.

Stolen: Heist of the Century (Aug 8): True crime obsessives, clear your calendar. Revisit the Antwerp Diamond Heist aka, the “Ocean’s Eleven” of real life. Interviews, reenactments, old footage it’s basically catnip for anyone who yells at their TV during documentaries.

Oho Enthan Baby (Aug 8): Malayalam comfort food for your soul. A guy tries to build a new life in Chennai, runs headfirst into city chaos, family drama, and the kind of everyday messes we all get into. It’s sweet, funny, and probably best watched with snacks.

Prime Video

The Pickup (Aug 6): Eddie Murphy + Pete Davidson + a ridiculous heist? Sign me up. Two truck drivers, one wild ride, and probably more jokes than action scenes. If you don’t laugh at least three times, check your pulse.

Arabia Kadali (Aug 8): This one’s intense, not gonna lie. Telugu drama about fishermen stuck in a foreign jail, fighting the system and each other. Heavy on the emotions and the social commentary. Festival folks already love it, so, you know, it’s probably actually good.

New OTT Releases This Week: JioCinema & SonyLIV

Salakaar (Aug 8, JioCinema): Espionage, nuclear secrets, and two decades of hush-hush drama. Mouni Roy and Naveen Kasturia are out here dodging betrayals and covering up stuff the government definitely doesn’t want you Googling. Feels like a binge-in-one-night type of deal.

Mayasabha (Aug 7, SonyLIV): 90s Andhra Pradesh, dirty politics, and more backstabbing than a Shakespeare play. Aadhi Pinisetty leads, and the whole thing just oozes “corrupt power meets family drama.” If you like your shows messy and meaty, this is it.

Tehran Release Date: Why Direct OTT Debut Instead of Theatres?

ZEE5 & MX Player

Maaman (Aug 8, ZEE5): A regular village guy stumbles into fame. It’s charming, heartwarming, and probably makes you wish your neighborhood was this wholesome. Good pick if you’re tired of city chaos.

Bindiya Ke Bahubali (Aug 8, MX Player): Bihar politics at its messiest. Saurabh Shukla and Sheeba Chaddha serve up satire and scandal so thick you’ll need a fork. Not for the faint-hearted, but definitely for the drama lovers.

So, stock up on popcorn, ghost your friends, and brace yourself. OTT’s got you covered this week, and honestly, your couch might never forgive you.
