After New Delhi, Mumbai, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Chennai, Cuttack- Odisha joins the league as curfew gets imposed from 9:00 pm today to 5 am tomorrow.
As per the commissioner of police of Cuttack, Odisha, 40 platoons of police will be deployed all over the city to make sure no one is partying or creating havoc on the new year.
As covid-19 made 2020 a year which we want to forget, we cannot forget that covid19 is pretty much still there and even more there are new strains, mutated viruses and versions of covid-19 which can be found in India now, so governments of many states have made a right decision by putting up night curfews to make sure that there is no group spread of the virus.

Delhi/ NCR
- Night curfew has been imposed from December 31 from 11:00 pm to tomorrow January 1, 2021- 6:00 am.
- No more than 5 people can be allowed to assemble at public places in Delhi during night curfew and it is being done to avoid large gathering of transmitting Covid-19
- Talking about the transport movement- Connaught place- Rajiv chowk will not allow passenger stop exit after 9: 00 pm.
- Buses won’t be allowed to enter the premises after 7: 00 pm. However, there are no restrictions imposed on the transport movement from one state to another.

Maharashtra
- All the pubs and clubs will close by 11 pm and the night curfew will go on till January 5, 2021, from 11 pm to 6 am to make sure no covid- transmission are taking place, especially in a large gathering of people.
- Parties on terrace and boats would not be allowed
- Police have been deployed to make sure everyone is following covid-19 protocols.

Karnataka
- No new year eve parties are allowed by the authorities
- No building premises can hold their own parties
- Families are allowed to have personal events
- Crowds and rush not allowed and strict action will be taken
Hyderabad
- Unlike other states Hyderabad has allowed New Year’s eve parties from 8 pm to January 1, 2021, 1 am.
- The events have to be organised by keeping teh police authorities in the loop
Rajasthan
- Night curfew from December 31 to January 1 6 am has been imposed by the authorises
- No bursting of crackers would be permitted
- No new year party will be organised
- And Markets will close by 7 pm
Tamil Nadu
- All hotel, pubs, bar will close by 10 pm
- Police will be deployed to make sure no one is going against the covid-19 protocols and night curfew.
- Temples will be opened early in the mornings and people with masks will only be allowed to enter the premises.
Kerala
- No new year parties would be allowed
- All celebrations would have to be ceased by 10 pm
- Bursting of crackers on occasion of the new year is allowed from 11:55 pm to January 1, 2021- 12:30 am only.
Orissa
- Night curfew imposed from 9 pm to 6 am is from December 31 to January 1, 2021.
- Police will be deployed to make sure everything goes smoothly and people follow the rules as said.
