Nintendo Indie World: Nintendo fans won’t have to wait long for another big update. Just a week after the last Nintendo Direct focused on third-party games for the Switch and the upcoming Switch 2, Nintendo has announced a new Indie World Showcase. This new event will happen on Thursday, August 7, and it will shine a light on indie games only.
The schedule in which you can watch it in the United States is as follows:
- 9:00 am ET
- 8:00 am CT
- 6:00 am PT
The show will last around 15 minutes and will focus on games made by independent developers. Fans are already getting excited and wondering if this might be the moment they finally get an update on Silksong. That game has been on many wishlists for years now, and though it seems unlikely, people are still hopeful. Sometimes, dreaming is half the fun.
When and Where to Watch the Showcase
The Indie World will be streamed live on August 7 at 6:00 a.m. PT. That means some viewers might have to wake up early if they want to watch it live. Nintendo will stream the whole thing on its official YouTube channel, just like usual. The show will be focused completely on indie games, so don’t expect any big news about Nintendo’s main titles like Metroid or Super Mario. Those kinds of updates are saved for other Nintendo Directs.
Landman Season 2: Release, Cast, Plot, and Shooting Locations
Indie games have become an important part of the Nintendo Switch’s success over the years. Many of them have built strong fan bases, and some have even become major hits on the platform.
This time there’s hope we’ll see something about Silksong, especially since it’s supposed to show up at Gamescom in a few weeks. Still because of the deal with Xbox, some believe that we won’t get any new info until closer to that event.
