Gorakhpur: In the seat distribution declared by Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati, the Maharajganj seat went into the hands of Samajwadi Party. SP party has now given the chance to contest the Maharajganj seat in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections to NISHAD Party’ president Sanjay Nishad.
According to reports, the high command of the Samajwadi Party has given its nodded to the decision. Dr Sanjay Nishad is set to contest elections on his party symbol with the support of SP and BSP.
Bahujan Samaj Party’s Mayawati and Samajwadi Party’s Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday had announced the list of seats to be contested by each in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections in Uttar pradesh.
Earlier, days after praising Narendra Modi in the last session of the parliament, Samajwadi Party founder and veteran leader Mulayam Singh Yadav had slammed party chief Akhilesh Yadav and questioned their alliance with Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party.
The three time former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, on Thursday had said, that he doesn’t understand the basis on which Akhilesh give half the total seats to Mayawati.
“I wish all the members of this Lok Sabha win again and return to this House. The Prime Minister has worked for everyone. He tried to take everyone along with him. I hope he returns as Prime Minister again,” Yadav had had said in his valedictory speech”, Mulayam Singh Yadav had said in the last session of the 16th Lok Sabha.
