Nissan Tekton Launched in India: Nissan Motor India has officially launched the all-new Nissan Tekton in the country. The Tekton is among Nissan India’s most significant launches in recent years. Prices start at Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom), placing the Tekton directly against established rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Volkswagen Taigun and the newly introduced Renault Duster. Bookings have commenced for a token amount of Rs 21,000, while customer deliveries are scheduled to begin from July 20.
Variant-wise Prices Of The Nissan Tekton
Nissan has introduced the Tekton across multiple variants to cater to different buyer preferences. The Tekton, like its sibling, the Renault Duster, has earned a five-star BNCAP crash test rating. It has scored 30.49/32.00 for adult occupant protection and 45/49 for child occupant protection. Bookings start from today, with the amount set at Rs. 21000. The SUV range starts at Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom), with higher trims offering additional comfort, technology and performance features. The top-end variants are priced at around Rs 18.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

Styling
Although the Tekton shares its platform with the Renault Duster under the Renault-Nissan Alliance, Nissan has given the SUV a unique identity. The exterior draws inspiration from the flagship Nissan Patrol, featuring a bold front grille, connected LED daytime running lights, redesigned bumpers, exclusive alloy wheels and distinctive C-shaped LED tail lamps.
Inside, the cabin receives a different dashboard layout from the Duster while retaining a premium look with soft-touch materials and a modern design.

Premium Features
The Nissan Tekton enters the market with an extensive equipment list expected in today’s mid-size SUV category. Depending on the variant, buyers get a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, powered tailgate and connected car technology.
Higher variants are also equipped with a 360-degree camera and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), enhancing convenience and safety.
Two Turbo-Petrol Engine Options
The Tekton is available with two turbocharged petrol engines. The entry-level variants are powered by a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing around 100 bhp, paired with a six-speed manual transmission.
Higher trims receive a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine delivering approximately 163 bhp and 280 Nm of torque. This engine is offered with either a six-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Unlike the Renault Duster, the Tekton does not receive a strong hybrid powertrain at launch.
Safety Features
Safety is among the strongest selling points of the new SUV. The Nissan Tekton has secured a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating ahead of its market launch, underlining its crash protection credentials.
The SUV comes equipped with six airbags, electronic stability control, electronic parking brake, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS on higher variants.
