‘Nitish is an opportunist’: Twitter reacts on CM’s resignation

Soon after former Bihar CM Nitish Kumar resigned from his post, he was surrounded with comments and criticism alike.

Nitish Kumar, after tendering his resignation, said that he had quit in the ‘interest of Bihar’. He said he never demanded anybody’s resignation but wanted Lalu and Tejashwi to come clean on allegations levelled against them by the CBI.

“Situation was becoming increasingly difficult for me to continue. We spoke to Rahul Gandhi, but nothing worked out,” the former CM said.

The two big shots, Nitish Kumar and Lalu Yadav, had been at loggerheads ever since the CBI launched raids against Lalu’s son and his family. While Nitish always demanded the Deputy CM of Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav, to resign, RJD supremo Lalu always maintained that there was no possibility of his son resigning from the post of Bihar deputy CM. Thus, cracks within the ‘mahagathbandhan’ were cleraly visible.
