Nitish Reddy, the young batting all-rounder for Team India, has started his recovery journey after hurting his left knee. He got injured during the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series against England, where he was playing really well before the problem came up. Now he is back in India and working hard to get fit again. He is doing all this so he can be ready for the upcoming Asia Cup and help Team India there.
The 22-year-old first began his rehab at home right after coming back from England. After that, he went to the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, where he is now fully focused on healing and building his strength again. According to reports, his recovery is going in a good direction and people around him feel positive.

A BCCI official told The Telegraph, “Nitish began his rehab at home first after returning from England. He then headed to the Centre of Excellence last week and is stationed there for a full-fledged recovery process. So far, his rehab has gone well. Things will be clearer by next week. But yes, he’s certainly striving to make the Asia Cup squad and hasn’t given up hope at all. One big advantage of Nitish is that he’s only 22, which should help in recovering faster.”
Big Hopes for Asia Cup 2025
Nitish Reddy became one of the bright young names in Indian cricket after his impressive performances for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL. His all-round skills caught the eye of the selectors and earned him a place in both India’s T20I and Test teams. Even though injuries have stopped him from making an even bigger mark in cricket so far, he has shown that when fit, he can make a huge difference.
