November is here and the infamous ‘No Shave November’ is here to stay for the whole month. No Shave November or ‘Movember’ is an annual event involving the growing of mustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men’s suicide.

The Movember Foundation runs the Movember charity event, housed at Movember.com. The goal of Movember is to “change the face of men’s health.

As we welcome No Shave November 2019, here’s the throwback to record-breaking beards/mustaches across the world:

The world record for the greatest number of victories in the Beard and Mustache World Championships at this time is 8. It is held by the German Karl-Heinz Hille. He ranked 6 times first in the category of the imperial partial beard
