BJP MLA Prahlad Lodhi, 12 others sentenced two year imprisonment

Panna MLA Prahlad Lodhi along with 12 others have been sentenced to two years imprisonment in a 2014 case related to attack on a tehsildar who was opposing illegal sand mining.

A special court in Bhopal sentenced Bharatiya Janata Party Panna MLA Prahlad Lodhi along with 12 others to two years imprisonment in a 2014 case related to attack on a tehsildar who was opposing illegal sand mining.

Passing the order ADJ Suresh Singh also granted them bail. The case was registered against Lodhi and 12 others after they attacked tehsildar.

As quoted in the reports, DPO Rajendra Upadyaya said, “BJP MLA Prahlad Lodhi and 12 others have been convicted in a case registered in 2014. They have been granted bail after conviction. They had attacked tehsildar.”

The incident took place on August 28, 2014 when Tahsildar RK Verma seized a tractor  filled with sand at Simaria police station in Raipur, Tehsil of Satna district.

Following this, while Verma was returning home, Prahlad Lodhi and his colleagues stopped the jeep of Tehsildar Varma, assaulted and abused him on the Road near Madwa village.
