Odisha: Youth’s mutilated body found in Ganjam

In a horrific incident on Saturday morning, police recovered the mutilated body of a youth from a nullah at Haladia Padar railway flyover near Gosani Nuagaon in Ganjam district. The deceased was identified as Sonu Ghadei alias Jadu, who was working with the Berhampur Municipal Corporation as a contractual cleaning staff and was missing for the last four days.

Earlier, Sonu’s mother filed a complaint a missing persons’ complaint with the police and had launched an investigation.

Later, locals spotted his body after four days in the nullah and told the police, who recovered the body and sent it for the autopsy to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur.

The exact reason of the death is still unknown, however, family members of Sonu stated, he was killed due to a love affair. The preliminary investigation indicated that Sonu was in a relationship with a girl of the locality and girl’s family members were objecting the relationship.
