OJEE-2020 results released; Sovit Patel tops in BTech

The results of Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE-2020) are announced on Friday. Skill development and technical education minister Premananda Nayak published the results booklet in the evening. The candidates can download their rank cards from the OJEE websites, ojee.nic.in, and odishajee.com.

Sovit Patel from Titilagarh in Balangir district has become topper for the BTech course, while Shyam Sundar Patel from Bhubaneswar has topped the entrance test for MTech course.

Similarly, Subhakanta Sahoo is the topper of MBA, Joydeep Dey for MCA, Soumya Ranjan Routray for BPharm, Parimita Sahu for MPharm, Bharat Bhusan for MArch, Rajat Kumar Dalai for integrated MBA and Gyanada Panda for MPlan.

This year, a record number (79,754) registered for the examination, out of which 49,267 candidates appeared the test. All have been allotted ranks in their corresponding courses as per their performance in the examination.

In view of the COVID-19 pandemic situation, OJEE 2020, which is normally conducted in May, was delayed several times and was finally held during October 12-22 under relevant COVID norms.

The Entrance Examination had been conducted for various technical /professional courses, such as B Tech., LE-Tech (Dip), LE-Tech (B Sc.), B. Pharm, MBA, MCA, Int MBA, LE-Pharm, M. Pharm, M Arch, M Plan and M. Tech (11 specialisations) running in different government and private institutes/Universities of the state for the academic year 2020-21.

This year, for the very first time, OJEE was conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for all the courses.

The exam was conducted at 54 centres in 21 cities of the state as well as 5 no. of Test Centres in three cities outside Odisha, namely Kolkata, Ranchi and Patna.
