Oops, I did it again- The Goel anthem at Rio

Well if you thought Salman Khan becoming the goodwill ambassador for India at Rio is the worst thing that could have happened then think again because, India’s international embarrassment, Vijay Goel has done it again. After taking Ms Shobha De’s twitter ‘advice’ very seriously, he has won a gold for breaking the world record for ‘the maximum number of faux passes ever committed.’

The busy minister has all the time to forcibly drag players to pose with him in his ‘selfies’ but is oblivious to their names and categories in which they are playing. Being a huge fan of Salman Khan, he goofed up Dipa Karmakar’s name and yet learnt no lesson as he wrongly identified Dutee Chand.

Adding to his already increasing list, he wished ‘Dipa Karmanakar’ by putting his own sorry face in the tweet, which was deleted after he faced huge backlash. He wished track and field athlete Srabani Nanda ahead of her event in the Rio Olympics 2016 on social media, using the image of Dutee Chand.

Perhaps, this is time we realise that the reason behind Indian’s not performing well in Rio is the bad management and lack of support from government. A person who can not even carry himself with dignity and does not remember the names of sportsperson does not deserve to be in-charge of such important area. Twitter definitely had a field day with his tweets as he got roasted in the following tweets!
