Painful to see people suffering: Kejriwal

New Delhi, Feb 26 (IANS) After the body of an Intelligence Bureau employee was pulled out of a drain in northeast Delhi’s Chandbagh area on Wednesday morning, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said it was “painful” to watch people “suffering” and hoped that the city recovers from the damage soon.

In a tweet, Kejriwal said, “Such a tragic loss of life. The culprits must not be spared. 20 people have already lost their lives. So painful to watch people of Delhi suffering. Praying that we recover from this tragedy soon and work together to undo damage done to people and communities.”

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor tweeted responding to a news report on the family members of the IB employee Ankit Sharma whose body was pulled found in the drain in Chandbagh.

At least 21 people have been killed in the violence in the last three days in the national capital. National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik on Tuesday reached Seelampur area at midnight to take stock of the situation.
