Pakistan artistes should be beaten with shoes, says Sangeet Som

After Raj Thackeray-led MNS threatened Pakistani artistes working in India to return home or face action last week, BJP lawmaker from Uttar Pradesh Sangeet Som on Monday said the artistes should be “beaten with shoes” for failing to condemn the terror attack on an army camp in Kashmir’s Uri in which 18 soldiers were killed.

India had claimed that the attack was carried out Pakistan-based militants.

“There are quite a few artistes who are earning crores here. No one cares about them in Pakistan. They come to Bollywood, earn in crores and then they do ‘gaddari’ (betrayal) with India,” the Sardhana MLA said.

“They should have given Pakistan a message that we eat and earn here (in India) so such incidents (of terrorism) should not happen here,” said Som, an accused in the Muzaffarnagar riots of 2013.

“Such people should be beaten with shoes and forced out of this country at any cost. Even an animal who eats at some person’s house shows loyalty. Pakistanis eat from India and then backstab us. Only a ‘deshbhakt’ (patriot) should stay in India. An answer should be given to them and entire Pakistan. Don’t worry, the Indian army will give them a reply,” Som added.

Pakistani actor Fawad Khan is gearing up for the release of ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, while Mahira Khan will be seen in Shahrukh Khan’s Raees.
