Panchayat Season 5 Release Date:The much-loved rural comedy-drama Panchayat is officially returning for a fifth season, and fans are already eager to know when they can revisit the world of Phulera. Starring Jitendra Kumar, Sanvikaa, Neena Gupta and Raghubir Yadav, the series continues to be one of the most successful Indian originals on Prime Video.
According to recent reports, makers have already begun work on Season 5, with filming officially commencing earlier this year. While the streaming platform has not yet announced an exact premiere date, multiple reliable entertainment reports suggest that the new season is expected to release in late 2026.
Panchayat Season 5 Release Date
Reports say that Season 5 is now in production, mostly after the huge response the previous season got. Supposedly, the creators and the production crew began filming in April 2026, which kinda suggests the show is moving along steadily toward its next release.
In April, the makers also confirmed that filming for Panchayat Season 5 had already begun. Sharing the update during the slate announcement, the caption read: “6 years of being in Phulera and never wanting to leave #PanchayatOnPrime, New Season, Now Filming.”
More industry talk adds that the upcoming season might drop sometime in the second half of 2026. Still, a proper official nod from Amazon Prime Video India is something we haven’t seen yet, so for now it remains a bit of a guess.

What To Expect From Panchayat Season 5?
The ending of the last season left audiences with a lot of loose ends, especially around village politics, the tangled relationships, and what happens to Abhishek Tripathi in Phulera. Season 5 is expected to keep pushing these emotional and political twists while also holding onto the show’s usual humour, and that grounded kind of storytelling it’s known for.

The next run of episodes is also likely to lean harder into the changing chemistry between Abhishek and Rinki, who is played by Sanvikaa. That little relationship thread, you know the one, has gradually become more and more liked by viewers, year after year.
