Patna police nipped in the bud of a major terror plot by recovering a live bomb from Naya Tola area in the district on Friday when the town was busy celebrating Muharram. According to the police the plan was plotted to execute during the procession of Muharram in the city.
A police team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ramakant Prasad successfully recovered a live bomb in the Phulwari Sharif area and fortunately got it defused with the help of bomb defusal squad immediately.
A man identified as Wakar has been arrested in suspicion of having involvement in the incident. In an interrogation, Wakar has confessed to the crime and said that he was to trigger the bomb blast during Muharram procession in the city.
