“People who do not feel safe in India should be bombed”, said Vikram Saini, Bharatiya Janata Party MLA from Khatauli (Muzaffarnagar), giving birth to a controversy.
While talking to media the MLA said that in his personal views people who feel threatened in the country should be bombed.
Saini continued that, “Give me a ministry and I will bomb such people”. He added that, “why should you stay here when you don’t have patriotic feelings towards the country.”

Saini’s words come weeks after veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah had said that he feels anxious for his children in an apparent reference to Bulandshahr violence killings. The actor had said that at many places the death of a cow is being given more importance than the killing of a policeman.
The violence in Bulandshahr had broken out as a repercussion to an alleged case of cow slaughter. The officer was killed in the ensuing firing after protestors attacked a police station, setting a police van to fire.
