A case of blackmailing has surfaced over buffalo meat. Dr Suman, a vet, allegedly demanded money, threatening that in case she doesn’t get Rs 30 thousand, she will declare buffalo meat as cow meat in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. The incident was recorded on camera and the video is now viral.
Few days before police caught a man suspecting he was carrying cow meet while instead, he had 5 kgs of buffalo meat with him. The police officer then called Dr Suman who threatened the villagers of declaring the meat as beef, demanding a bribe of Rs 30 thousand.
Earlier, the SP in Meerut following Bulandshahr killings said that if “beef is found in a house it means the family members are hiding a crime and helping those who are involved in it. Therefore, they are also equally responsible and hence will also be booked.”
The violence in Bulandshahr had broken out as a repercussion to an alleged case of cow slaughter. The officer was killed in the ensuing firing after protestors attacked a police station, setting a police van to fire.
