A new song from Anushka Sharma’s ‘Phillauri’ is out and reminds us the magic of old days’ romance. The soothing Sufi love song explores the love story of Diljit Dosanjh and Anushka Sharma in the film. Written by Anvita Dutt, the soulful number has been sung by Romy and Vivek Hariharan.
The soothing number has been composed by newcomer Shashwat Sachdev. Anushka plays village belle Shashi in the film. Reportedly, the song was shot over a period of two months. It was recorded live to bring a natural feel. The town Phillaur of Punjab’s Jalandhar district was also recreated for the movie. Watch the song below:
The film Phillauri is Anushka’s second co-production after debut production ‘NH 10’. She plays a role friendly ghost who resides in a tree. The film also stars Sooraj Sharma of ‘Life Of Pi’ fame and model turned actress Mehreen Pirzada. Directed by Anshai Lal, ‘Phillauri’ will release worldwide on March 24.
