In a scathing attack to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi remarked that “PM stole 30,000 crore of public money”. While citing a media report he further added that the Defence ministry note claims parallel negotiations by PMO.

“Yesterday, Mr. Modi gave a lengthy sermon, why doesn’t he answer these questions? Why doesn’t he state the reason for parallel negotiations?”, the chief of the grandold party commented.

In his press address the Congress chief added that Hollande earlier claimed PM’s interference. He said that PM bypassed Defence ministry and held parallel talks with France.

Earlier, in wake of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari’s recent remarks perceived as against his partys top leadership, Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Monday had urged him to also comment on the “Rafale scam” and the agrarian crisis, saying he was the only BJP leader with “some guts”.

Following ruckus over fresh revelations that the Defence Ministry had strongly objected to “parallel negotiations” conducted by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) with France on the Rafale fighter jet deal, the Lok Sabha was adjourned till noon on Friday.
