Prime Minister Narendra Modi has caused quite a stir by announcing that he will be leaving social media for a day on Sunday. A recent tweet has also surfaced on Tuesday, at 13:23 PM where Prime Minister Narendra Modi states that he has gifted his social media accounts and handles to powerful women on Women’s day.

He says in his tweet, “This Women’s Day, I will give away my social media accounts to women whose life & work inspire us. This will help them ignite motivation in millions. Are you such a woman or do you know such inspiring women? Share such stories using #SheInspiresUs.”

In a tweet, PM Narendra Modi said: “This Sunday, thinking of giving up my social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & YouTube. Will keep you all posted.”

Reacting to the news, on Monday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi told PM Narendra Modi to give up “hatred” and “not social media”.

“Give up hatred, not social media accounts,” Rahul Gandhi tweeted.
